The crash took place around 8:10 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, on Nepperhan Avenue in Yonkers, said Yonkers Police Det. Sgt. Dean Politopoulos.

According to Politopoulos, the drivers of a BMW and a Cadillac were engaged in a dispute that escalated into a car chase, with the BMW allegedly pursuing the Cadillac on Nepperhan Avenue.

The chase ended when the vehicles made contact, sending the BMW into the utility pole and the Cadillac spinning out.

The BMW's driver, Jovanie Castillo, a 28-year-old Yonkers resident, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and criminal mischief. The operator of the Cadillac is a 26-year-old resident of Yonkers, Politopoulos said.

"Detectives are actively investigating this incident at this time, reviewing surveillance video, interviewing additional subjects, and recovering evidence," Politopoulos said.

No injuries were reported. Police did not say what the argument was about.
